Meet the MustardSeed Team

At MSE, projects depend on the people who plan the work, lead the crew, operate equipment, document conditions, and communicate with clients and prime contractors. The team combines sitework experience, equipment operation, utility knowledge, safety training, logistics, and project coordination.

John W. Williams

Owner & Principal | Qualifying Party | Project Manager | Estimator

John began operating heavy equipment at 17 through cooperative education and FFA. After roughly a decade in industrial and construction environments, he founded MSE in 2021 following a seven-acre poultry-farm expansion involving approximately 27,000 cubic yards of earthwork. He now leads estimating, project planning, contracts, client coordination, and business development.

Brian McKinney

Site Foreman & Field Lead | Utility Construction | Field Operations

Brian brings more than 25 years of utility and sitework experience, beginning with Vinemont Water Authority in 1999. He leads daily field execution, crew sequencing, safety implementation, quality control, and communication between the field and project management.

Abraham Humphrey

Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Abraham Humphrey earned his bachelor’s degree in Marketing from The University of Alabama. He supports MSE through marketing strategy, brand development, social-media management, public relations, content development, and company communications.

Randy Holcomb

Heavy Equipment Operator | Equipment Transportation

Randy brings more than thirty-five years of practical experience through farming, heavy-equipment operation, equipment transportation, and field support.

Boston Freeman

Field Operations | CDL-A Skills Training | OSHA 10

Boston is a graduate of Wallace State Community College’s CDL A skills class and has completed OSHA 10 Construction Safety training.

Isaiah Ortiz

Field Technician | Construction Support

Isaiah supports site development through erosion control, traffic control, material handling, equipment support, maintenance, and general field support. He helps field leadership keep the site safe, orderly, and productive.

Jake Wray

Field Technician | Workforce Development

Jake supports traffic control, erosion control, material handling, equipment support, and field operations while continuing technical education through Wallace State Community College.

Dylan Henson

Traffic Control | Safety Coordination

Dylan supports excavation, grading, demolition, drainage, erosion-control, and site-development work while helping maintain an orderly, safe, and productive work area.

Ray McKenney

Operator Trainee | ACCS-Certified Compact Track Loader & Mini Excavator Operator

Ray supports equipment operation, traffic control, erosion control, material handling, and field activities. His completed training includes OSHA 10 Construction Safety and Alabama Community College System certifications in Compact Track Loader and Mini Excavator Operations.
